FREDDIE HUBBARD -
ANTHOLOGY
Freddie Hubbard is widely
recognised as being one of the greatest living jazz musicians. His contribution
to jazz music throughout a career which spans 45 years, and nearly 300
recordings as a leader or sideman is unquestioned. Freddie's longevity can be
attributed to both the quality of his playing, and his ability to adapt with
the times, recording different styles of jazz, whilst retaining his creativity
and credibility. This 'Anthology', the first multi-label compilation of his
work, highlights the outstanding quality of his soul-jazz and fusion material
recorded for Atlantic, CTI , Columbia and Pablo; much revered by Fusion
Aficionados and Hip-Hop samplers alike. The album features most of Freddie's
popular tunes, including 'Red Clay', 'Little Sunflower' and 'Gibraltar', along
with sought after rarer tracks like 'Povo', 'Keep your soul together' and
'Baraka Sasa'. (Track Listing) CD 1 Return of the prodigal son, Little
