Our label encompases classic and rare Soul, Funk and Jazz LP's, plus a range of 12" singles and a series of limited edition 45's. We've released Anthologies on revered artists from the Soul and Jazz fields and our Organic Soul series is geared towards highlighting the talents of new independent US soul artists.
Our aim is to continue to provide high quality releases covering the best black music of the past, prsent and future and with many more projects in the pipeline you can be sure to be seeing a lot more coming your way in due course

HANK BALLARD - YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN
James Brown produced Hank’s ‘You Cant Keep A Good Man’ album for King in 1968, and the funkier tracks have Brown’s sound stamped all over them.  ‘How You Gonna Get Respect’ featuring instrumentation from the Dapps has a very similar backing track to ‘Lickin Stick’. ‘Unwind Yourself’ was also recorded by Marva Whitney and ‘Funky Soul Train by Bobby Byrd, ‘Come On Wit’ It’ and ‘With Your Sweet Lovin Self’ are classic late 60’s Brown grooves

RANCE ALLEN - SAY MY FRIEND
Rance Allen one of 12 children started singing in church at the age of five in Monroe Michigan. In 1969 with older brother Tom on drums and younger brother Steve on bass, they recorded their first record, and won a talent contest in Detroit and were subsequently signed to Stax’s Gospel Truth label in 1971.

BOBBY WOMACK - HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS/PIECES
Bobby Womack is a soul legend and throughout the 1970’s he was undoubtedly one of the greatest, most successful, revered and prolific male soul singers. In the first half of that decade he cut some great albums for United Artists including the brilliant ‘Communication’, ‘Understanding’ and ‘Facts Of life’, which earned him the nickname of ‘The Preacher’.
