CHARLES EARLAND -ANTHOLOGY
This Double CD covers 22 funky organ grooves and jazz funk masterpieces from Organist/Keyboardist Maestro Charles. Charles was one of the funkiest Organ players as his late 60's/early 70's tracks illustrate and he adapted very
successfully to Electronic keyboards in the mid 70's for the jazz funk sessions. The Jazz Dancers 'Black Talk', 'Letha', 'Sing A Simple Song', 'Spinky', 'Milestones', 'Betty's Dilema' , 'Murilley' (ft Eddie jefferson's vocals) and 'My Favourite Things' are really funky but free flowing jazz and amongst the best of their genre. 'Leaving This Planet', 'Red Clay',
'intergelatic Love Song' , 'Cosmic Fever', 'Betty Boop', 'Let The Music Play' , 'Coming To You Live' and 'Marcia's Waltz' are some of the most creative jazz funk tracks ever. There's even a blaxploitation 'Betty's Theme' , disoc jazz funk 'Over And Over' and vocal 2 steppers 'Phire' and 'Woman in You' for good measure. Great music from an underground hero.
