CEDAR WALTON – ANIMATION/ SOUNDSCAPES
Cedar’s two albums recorded for Columbia in the mid/ late 70’s.  Animation is a great album especially what was the first side of the vinyl.  The title song, the Latin tinged cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Another Star’, the popular ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ _ check the bass - and the heavier ‘Charmed Circle’.  Soundscapes has one of THE Latin Jazz Funk tracks in ‘Latin America’.  Try also the funky ‘The Early Generation’ and the mellow ‘Sixth Avenue’.  Leon Thomas adds guest vocals on the gentle swaying ‘Warm To The Touch’.
